CloseToday show co-host Savannah Guthrie has made an emotional plea for her mother Nancy’s return, telling anybody who is holding the 84-year-old that her family is “ready to talk.”
In a video alongside her siblings, Savannah said her family had heard about the reports of a ransom letter and wanted to open a line of communication.
“However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her,” Savannah said in the video posted to Instagram Wednesday night.
News outlets TMZ and KGUN 9 reported that they have received ransom notes for Nancy that demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin for her safe return.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said Nancy was abducted from her Arizona home, where she was last seen Saturday night.
Nanos said Tuesday his office is “aware” of reports about “possible ransom note(s),” and that investigators are “taking all tips and leads very seriously.”
As of Wednesday, police have yet to identify a suspect or person of interest in the case.
President Donald Trump had called Savannah, “offering words of support,” the White House said Wednesday.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Wednesday night that “detectives are conducting follow-up” at Nancy Guthrie’s home.
Nancy vanished from her home in the Catalina Foothills, just outside of Tucson, Arizona, Saturday night. Local authorities believe she was abducted as she slept.
A new video of her home, released by NewsNation, appeared to show a trail of blood leading from the front door and a missing doorbell camera.
“I’m not saying there’s blood inside that house or outside that house,” Sheriff Chris Nanos said Tuesday.

Investigators at Nancy Guthrie's home for 2 hours: report
Investigators were at Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home for two hours Wednesday, NewsNation’s Brian Entin reported.
The 84-year-old was taken from her house in the Catalina Foothills days ago, according to police. The search for her continues.

Nancy Guthrie disappearance not a 'kiddie crime,' ex-FBI official says
Candice DeLong, a former FBI criminal profiler, told CNN’s Jake Tapper Wednesday that Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance is not a “kiddie crime.”
“This looks to me like it was committed by people that have experience committing other crimes. This is not what we call a kiddie crime,” DeLong said.

A CNN analyst has reacted to an update in Nancy Guthrie's disappearance, in which police said they have “not identified a suspect or person of interest.”
John Miller, CNN chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst, told TV host Jake Tapper Wednesday that authorities usually only identify a suspect in a case “if there is a compelling reason to or because they need the public’s assistance in locating that person.”

Police put crime scene tape back up at Nancy Guthrie's home: report
NewsNation’s Brian Entin reported Wednesday evening that investigators are putting crime scene tape back up at Nancy Guthrie’s home.
“About a dozen sheriff’s deputies and FBI, I think FBI, showed up here,” Entin said in a video posted to X.
There were also K9s and search teams on the Arizona property, according to Entin. Nancy vanished from her home in the Catalina Foothills on Saturday night.
