Hong Kong police have been alerted to a suspected child abuse case after a video was posted online showing a man on an MTR train repeatedly slapping a baby’s foot for resting on their stroller bar.
The person who filmed the video, a woman who identified herself as Asumi, told the South China Morning Post on Tuesday that she witnessed the man slapping the infant’s foot more than 20 times on a light rail train in Tin Shui Wai.
“Whenever he spotted the baby putting its foot on the stroller’s front bar, he hit [the infant’s foot],” she said.
